Croydon Dental Practice · Family dentistry
Friendly, age-appropriate care from your child’s first check-up through to their teenage years. As a family dentist in Croydon with an in-house orthodontic team, we can look after children’s teeth and keep an eye on how they are growing.
Early visits let your child get used to the dental chair and let us spot problems before they become bigger.
Fluoride varnish painted onto the teeth helps strengthen enamel and protect against decay.
A thin protective coating on the grooves of back teeth, where food and plaque tend to collect.
We monitor how adult teeth are coming through and the way the bite is developing.
NHS dental treatment is free for children under 18, and for young people under 19 in full-time education. We welcome new child patients, but NHS availability varies depending on our capacity, so please call us to check. If you are registering your child as an NHS patient, please bring their NHS number.
Our NHS dentist in Croydon page explains how NHS care works for the whole family, and our new patients page lists what to bring to a first visit.
Because our orthodontic team, Addiscombe Orthodontics, works in the same building, we can keep an eye on your child’s bite as they grow and advise if an orthodontic assessment would help. Orthodontic care is led by Dr Sarah Sadek, Specialist Orthodontist. Children who meet the NHS criteria may be able to have braces on the NHS; read about NHS braces in Croydon.
Knocks and falls happen. If your child damages a tooth, see our emergency dentist in Croydon page and call us. Older teenagers wearing braces may also benefit from our dental hygienist in Croydon appointments. Private fees are on our full price list.
Croydon Dental Practice is at 202 Lower Addiscombe Road, Addiscombe, Croydon CR0 7AB. Addiscombe tram stop is a short walk away and East Croydon station is nearby, so it is easy to reach from across the borough. We are open Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:30; Saturday appointments are by request and we are closed on Sunday.
We offer first check-ups from age 1. Early visits help your child get used to the dentist and let us check that their teeth are developing well.
Yes. NHS dental treatment is free for children under 18 and for those under 19 in full-time education. NHS availability at the practice varies, so please call to check.
Fissure sealants are a thin protective coating applied to the grooves on the biting surfaces of back teeth, where food and plaque can collect. They are one of the ways we help protect children’s teeth.
Many children are assessed once most of their adult teeth have come through. We monitor development at check-ups and can advise when an orthodontic assessment would be helpful.
Call us on 020 8656 6959 so we can advise and arrange to see your child. If we are closed, call NHS 111. Do not try to put a knocked-out baby tooth back in.
Book a check-up for your child, or call to ask about NHS availability for children. Open Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:30.
